The Surface-ing is a handmade porcelain sculpture developed from a cast of my torso. Part of my sculptural body cast series, the work explores the relationship between the human body, surface and identity.

I shape the porcelain by hand, building up layers and firing the piece several times to create its distinctive crackled surface. I fire the sculpture at 1250°C with a transparent glaze, then individually hand-paint the cracked areas with gold enamel and lustre. The combination of white porcelain, crackle and gold creates a surface that changes with the light.

The sculpture is mounted on a white wooden backing and designed to hang on the wall like a painting.

I currently ship orders within the UK (including Northern Ireland). If you're interested in international shipping, please contact me directly to arrange this.
All orders are dispatched within one week of purchase. UK orders are shipped via a tracked courier service and typically arrive within 5-6 business days. International orders are sent using a courier service and typically arrive within 10 business days.

I take great care in creating each piece, and I want you to be happy with your purchase. If, for any reason, you are not fully satisfied, returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. All pieces must be returned in their original condition and packaging. Once received, refunds will be processed.
