Sculptural Vessel: Tower No - II

£0.00
Sold Out

I handcrafted this large porcelain vessel, building it from a handformed base and layering hand-rolled strips to create its flowing form. Guided by the movement of my hands, the strips evolve naturally, forming curvaceous lines that give the piece its unique character. I then introduce and refine openings within the form, creating moments of transition between surface and interior space, where light and shadow can move freely. This vessel reflects my ongoing exploration of movement, energy, and the quiet relationship between inside and outside — forms shaped as much by what is held within as by what is seen.

Thrown and hand-formed porcelain, fired at 1240°C, finished with a transparent glaze and 23-carat gold leaf.

NB: This work has been selected for Design-Nation HUB’s exhibition Beneath the Surface: Material and Meaning and will be available to purchase directly from the gallery.
