Living Column. Large Ceramic Wall Art

I began the Living Column with a half-round base in white stoneware, its curve resembling a section of a tree trunk. Rather than following a drawing or a predetermined plan, I let the base's form and the pieces in my hands guide the process.

Each element is shaped by hand into a small, shell-like tessera, individually varied in size, texture and form. Working with different stonewares and porcelains, I create subtle variations of white, from chalky and creamy tones to almost translucent surfaces. Arranged side by side, the pieces follow the base's curve, gradually building a surface that appears to grow organically upward.

After firing, I hand-apply gold lustre along the edges, accentuating the meeting points between the forms and allowing light to move across the surface. The finished sculpture is mounted on a white wooden backing, ready to hang.

All pieces must be returned in their original condition and packaging. Once received, refunds will be processed.
