Veiled Echoes-2. Ceramic Figurative Wall Art

This piece consists of two porcelain body casts layered on top of each other. Each cast is made from my body and worked separately. The upper cast is built from individually rolled strips of black porcelain, layered the same way as my sculptural vessels, then hand-carved and worked to create a seamless flow. The openings let the gaze pass through, so the layers beneath remain visible. I fired both pieces at 1250°C in oxidation to achieve the final form.

The lower cast is hand-painted in red enamel, while the top layer is worked in black porcelain, with the edges of some curved lines embellished with hand-painted gold enamel.

The sculpture is mounted on a charcoal-coloured wooden backing and hangs on the wall like a painting.

All pieces must be returned in their original condition and packaging. Once received, refunds will be processed.
