This piece consists of two porcelain body casts layered on top of each other. Each cast is made from my body and worked separately. The lower cast is hand-painted with red enamel, and the upper cast is built from strips of porcelain that are later carved to create texture. The top layer is embellished with hand-painted gold enamel on the edges of some of the curvaceous lines. Both pieces are fired at 1250°C in oxidation to achieve the final form.
The piece is placed on a charcoal-coloured wood backing. It hangs like a painting.
